Christmas on Smith Hill
(PROVIDENCE RI) – St. Patrick’s Parish will host a Christmas Tree Blessing and Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, December 19 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The parish has placed bows on the tree in memory of the Newtown, Ct. victims.
Choirs from St. Patrick’s Academy, St. Patrick’s Hispanic Ministry and St. Augustine School, Providence, will provide Christmas Carols. After the performances, Bishop Tobin will bless the Christmas tree, then it will be illuminated.
The tree was planted last December to provide Rhode Islanders an opportunity to attend a Christmas tree lighting.
